Counselling

As soon as people decide to confront a problem, they realise that they are far more capable than they thought they were – Paulo Coelho (The Zahir)

My approach to my therapy is Person Centred where I work to establish a trusting therapeutic relationship between you and I.  We can explore together your thoughts and feelings, on what may be troubling you, thereby enabling you to gain greater clarity about your life and increase your personal awareness.

Supervision

I am required to attend Supervision in accordance with the Ethical Framework for Good Practice of the BACP for my counselling work.  This involves talking about my work without identifying my clients in any way. ( www.bacp.co.uk)

Confidentiality

If you reveal anything to me which relates to a serious crime or to the abuse or harming of yourself or others, I cannot guarantee confidentiality.

I am required under statutory law to inform the relevant authorities of anything concerning acts of terrorism, drug trafficking or abuse of a minor.

Records

Any personal information provided will be strictly confidential, stored securely and destroyed safely three weeks after your last counselling session.
